1. HOW TO SEARCH THE IDEAL YACHT?

Searching for your yacht among the many brokerage houses can be not so easy.

Some clients think that getting in touch with several agencies can give them more purchase alternatives whithout knowing that giving task to one yachtbroker only (for a customized search) will help him to save time, money and will avoid useless overlaps of more than one broker in one yacht for sale. It happens sometimes that a yacht Owner who wants to sell his yacht is contacted by several brokers which have a client interested in buying his yacht; this "flatters" and "rigidifies" this Owner in the dealing...but later he discovers that the client is always the same and got in touch with several brokers.

This is to clarify that getting in touch with many agencies is useless; the best thing to do is giving to your broker a formal task for searching your ideal yacht. Shouldn’t your broker havefor sale the yacht you are looking for, he will get in touch with collegues he has confidence, and manage the research on your behalf. This will not be more expensive, contrary to what you can think; you will take advantage in dealing with one person only, you will save time and money and will anyway have fair and detailed information on the real conditions of the yachts offered.

2. WHY CHOOSING VIACOLVENTO?

Yacht brokers are not the same; when you are selecting from the many yacht brokers available here are a few things to keep in mind:

• Experience which will allow your broker to identify the yachts to offer you through his international network of collegues who trust in him.

  Dealing managed by a yacht broker part of a distinguished brokerage agency will be valued with a higher regard.
• Feeling and confidence. Each yacht broker has his own way of dealing with his clients and conducting sales and purchases. Some are very formal, others are more confidential. What is important is that you are at ease with him and you have pleasure in communicating with your broker which deals on your behalf. Important is having feeling and mutual confidence.
  
  It is not so unusual, among the brokerage houses, finding the broker who only thinks to close the sale quickly, earn the commission and go to next deal. 3. HOW DO WE MANAGE YACHT SALES AND PURCHASES?

Each purchase or sale is different and unique, such as different and unique are our clients. 

But buying and selling a yacht must respect some basic rules: the client who visits a yacht and decides to go ahead with the dealing, writes an offer through a contract outfitted by Viacolvento; at the same time he leaves to his broker a security deposit (usually 10% of the amount offered) to show to the seller his real intention to buy. 

This written offer is a contract conditional on the acceptance of the economical offer by the seller; moreover it is conditional on several technical tests and sea trial of the yacht that the purchaser has the right to follow out.

The broker will have the task to submit the offer to the seller and will do his best for the offer to be accepted. Once all technical tests have been positively completed, the written purchase offer will take force and will be binding for both parties. The security deposit will be considered earnest money and the final handover will take place within a date established by both parties.
